I agree, peter. All of your points are valid, and my next post hopefully demonstrates that I'm very aware of them.

Well, pess, Lets try this. Everybody is trying to act like they're all just one happy family here after the thumpin. They pledged to get along and work together. Here's this guy Rummy that they've been dying to get rid of. Okay lets try it, lets see how much you want to get rid of him. Let's see how much you want to get along, bi-partisan like. Approve my choice and you're done with your most disliked Rummy. Don't approve him and Rummy hangs around some more and you're characterised as not wanted to work together. Its a test, either way the admin wins. Its a beginning.

Sort of miss you over 'there'. Some of the nuts want revenge. The American people didn't chose your side just to have revenge handed out. 2008 is two short years away and many of those newly minted House seats, well at least half of them will turn over again in 08. With a great presidential candidate probably more. The senate is mighty tight, wouldn't take much to switch back also. These next two years better show much progress on the peoples business. They can just as easily change their mind. Those people, Delay, Foley, Cunningham, Weldon, and Sherwood will not be on the ballot next time. Sheila S-Gibbs will have her name on the ballot next time. Nick doesn't stand a chance then. Especially after Rep. Gibbs has the next two months to get her feet wet making votes, speeches, acting like a Congresswoman serving out the Delay term. Joe Negron will have two years to prepare for 2008. His name will be on that ballot then. That seat will turn over. GA-08, GA-12, several in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana will surely turnover the next go around. Make the best use of your majority, work for the people and not the party.

Then there's the 2010 census. The ultimate redistricting comes back to haunt you. Some of these newbys will be merged to make up for the loss of 10 to 16 seats in the north. All heading south and the southwest. How many of those turn Republican? More Electorial votes in the south, less influence in the Democratic north. Whats happening in Michigan is so bad. And they returned the governor to office? Why does it cost $1659 to rent a Uhaul out of Michigan and only $259 for the reverse?

Shame about Rep. Harmon, seems Nancy doesn't like her too much. Would rather put Florida'a Hastings as chair of the Intel cmtee. Then there's Rep. Tauscher, she has a group of conservative Democrats in Congress. Has commitments of many of the newby's to join her group. More conservatives in the House. Maybe another 'gang of 14' brewing here. Four of the new Senators seem to back boarder security heavily, one of mine and three of yours.

The bullseye is now on yourside to show your stuff. I hope they focus on the peoples business. But I fear they may just fulfill what Hannety's been preaching for the last few weeks. Shame if that happens, you'd think they'd want to show how wrong Hannety is.

Hey, our guys got cocky after 2004. The people didn't like that. Our guys forgot who put them in office. The people didn't like that. Our guys forgot why they were there. The people didn't like that.

Enjoy the victory my friend. Enjoy the victory for a day or two, then get to work. The people expect something, something good. If nothings done the people will fire your guys too.

Please, don't get cocky
